Was craving Gourmet Bak kwa and got 500g from this outlet. Was sorely disappointed. Despite paying a premium, the pieces were all so dry & tough. Barely resembling “bacon” with the fat ratio. They use to be my trusted brand for a quick Bak kwa craving. But standards have dropped terribly. Nothing worse than a craving dissatisfied. Edit - They reached out to me to find out more about the substandard Bakkwa I bought and offered a replacement. I chose to get the replacement from their main store at Serangoon, the product/grilling done there was better. So if u see the bakkwa looking dry in the display case, believe your eyes. As every griller is different. Overall, great service recovery. But such an incident should not happen as a trusted retail chain, as customers would be expecting a standard across all outlets.
