S$4 for a small plate of char siew wanton noodle. Value for money.

$4 dumplings noodles with chilli, cooked by the wife because uncle was having his lunch. An institution that's been around for almost 5 decades, their dumplings are really good. Small though, but the flavours of the fillings are delicate and refined. I will return to try their wantons. Noodles are of the fine type, that retains a good crunch. Soup towards the end of the day is flavourful too. Sharing the table with Chef Uncle who was having his lunch, he takes pride that his soup is freshly brewed each morning and leftovers of the day are not kept to ensure freshness and integrity of what he serves. Worthy of a revisit.

The couple has been doing this for more than forty years and my good size bowl of soup has 5 wantons. Need I say more. This is one noodle that is old school yummy. It has been served this way for years and always good. I ended up another 30 uncooked wantons to freeze for another day. At $4 per plate, so good
