Minced meat mee sua stall at Toa Payoh Lorong 8 Market offering comforting dry-style noodles.
Lai Yuan Dry Minced Meat Mee Sua is a hawker stall at Toa Payoh Lorong 8 Market and Hawker Centre, specialising in dry-style minced meat mee sua. The stall serves thin vermicelli noodles tossed with minced pork, mushrooms, and a savoury sauce, offering a comforting bowl that highlights the soft, delicate texture of mee sua. Unlike the more commonly seen soup-based mee sua, the dry version allows the seasoning and toppings to coat every strand more intensely. Located in one of Toa Payoh's most popular hawker centres, Lai Yuan caters to residents and food lovers who appreciate traditional Chinese noodle dishes. The Lorong 8 Market houses numerous well-patronised stalls, and Lai Yuan adds to the variety with its focus on mee sua, a dish that is less commonly found than bak chor mee or fishball noodles. The stall provides a homestyle, satisfying meal that appeals to those seeking the gentle flavours and soothing textures of this classic comfort food.Based on 10 Google reviews

Tried 涞源 Bak Chor Mee 01-44, quite nice. Chilli has a old school taste and the liver is cooked to perfection. Had the small Signature bowl $4.20 at about 1030am Monday. As this is a 29hr stall, I wonder if the standards will be similar throughout the day. Served by 2 nice ladies at the stall.

Apparently, it is no longer called 满源 but 来源. Food remains flavourful with generous minced meat serving. Meatballs are handmade but the texture is rather soft rather than the usual bouncy feeling.

Today tried tis stall bak chor mee (their signature dish w the poster pasted on left side). Surprising has fried ikan bilis. It comes with fishball too. The sauce is fragrant. $3 comes with a decent potion, just nice. Would say definitely standard quite good.
