Heritage hawker stall at Hong Lim famous for bak chor mee with vinegar-infused pork noodle soup.
High Street Tai Wah Pork Noodle is a heritage hawker stall at Hong Lim Market & Food Centre, celebrated for its bak chor mee, a Singapore favourite of minced pork noodles. The stall has been operating for decades, and its recipe has remained largely unchanged, featuring al dente noodles tossed in a vinegary, chilli-laced sauce with minced pork, liver, meatballs, and crispy pork lard. The combination of tangy black vinegar, fiery chilli, and savoury pork creates a bold flavour profile that has earned the stall a devoted following and a place on many local food guides. Each bowl is made to order, with the vendor carefully portioning each ingredient to ensure consistency. Long queues are a common sight, particularly during lunch hours, but regulars consider the wait worthwhile for a taste of this enduring hawker classic. High Street Tai Wah Pork Noodle represents the best of Singapore's hawker tradition, where simple ingredients and skilled hands produce dishes of remarkable depth and character.Operating Hours

Waited 40min for $6 dry meepok pork noodle. Do not mix noodle with soup. Pro Taste of noodles. But noodle is annoying they don't cut it so all the strand are soooo long. Pork ball very flavorful and none of the horny pig taste. Pork soup. If you like pork intestinal soup this will be right up your alley. Cons Long noodles Slice pork. Tough very bad meat. Wanton, lack taste. Harmony. If you read carefully most of 1 or 2 star reviews came from the wet version. They just don't work well together. Liver. Actually this is average. Price. Actually it is very little for $6. Not worth the wait. 40min I expect better.

Got here early in the day, wait was around 10 mins. The noodles were delicious, we got the dry option with the broth and pork balls seperated, this looks like the more favoured option !

Pretty decent bowl of noodles, QQ enough. Ingredients are fresh. But not worth waiting almost an hour for. Would eat only if there’s a short queue
