Hock Lai Seng Bak Chor Mee is my favourite bak chor mee so far. The noodles are tasty, the sauce is well-balanced, and everything just works …

The broth is not the porky type but rather clean and sweet tasting with a myriad of ingredients. Unfortunaetly, I did not find the ingredients particularly well done in the soup, none of them stood out, but they were good enough. The noodles were a little clumpy but otherwise had a decent texture and I appreciated that vinegar can be freely added depending on each diner. The ti poh remained crispy and a little meaty in fact and was the best ingredient in the bowl. My bowl lacked seaweed so I felt some procedures could be more thorough.
